Charles Luther Bradshaw, age 87, of Lenoir, joined the heavenly choir on Friday, September 15, 2017 from Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care-Kirkwood.
He was born November 1, 1929 in Caldwell County to the late James E. Bradshaw and Effie Trexler Bradshaw.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Virgil Bradshaw and James Clifford Bradshaw and two sisters, Naomi Bolick and Marie Bradshaw.

He was a retired salesman with Kimbrell's Furniture and was the last surviving charter member of the Collettsville Ruritan club. His real passion was southern...

Charles Luther Bradshaw, age 87, of Lenoir, joined the heavenly choir on Friday, September 15, 2017 from Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care-Kirkwood.
He was born November 1, 1929 in Caldwell County to the late James E. Bradshaw and Effie Trexler Bradshaw.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Virgil Bradshaw and James Clifford Bradshaw and two sisters, Naomi Bolick and Marie Bradshaw.

He was a retired salesman with Kimbrell's Furniture and was the last surviving charter member of the Collettsville Ruritan club. His real passion was southern gospel music. He served as the lead singer for the Melody Four Quartet and as music director for more than 50 years at several Baptist Churches throughout Caldwell and Catawba counties including Cedar Rock, Grandview, Pisgah, Community, Harrisburg, West Lenoir, Canaan and Freedom.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Connie Annas Bradshaw of the home, one son, Michael Bradshaw and wife Treva of Lenoir, as well as numerous nephews and nieces.

The family will receive friends on Monday, September 18, 2017 from 7:00 until 8:30 pm at Pendry's Lenoir Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Cedar Rock Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Harmon and Rev. Benny Hendrix officiating.

Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park.

Serving as pallbearers will be Garry Bradshaw, Leonard Bolick, Keith Coffey, Fred Lowrance, Nelson Soots, and Ernest Greene.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to the nurses and staff at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care for their care and love and extra special thanks to Hospice nurse, Anita Haas, a friend to the family for many years.
